Just as with my Quick Hitters on the FAR and GSAR, my Quick Hitter series on the DFARS is meant to simplify contracting business with the government. This time with DoD.
DFARS 223.72 Safeguarding Sensitive Conventional AA&E
Please familiarize yourself with DoD Manual 5100.76 as its contents are pertinent to the agency’s contracting regulations associated with the subject matter.
DFARS 223.7201
Physical security precautions in accordance with DoD 5100.76 must be administered when AA&E is supplied as GFP or any/all of the AA&E life-cycle is for agency use. The manual does not apply when the AA&E is considered COTS or the contract is executed within a government owned contractor facility. The caveat is subcontracting. If the former is activated then 5100.76 applies.
DFARS 223.7202
When procuring AA&E, the PR must specify such as well as which physical security precautions of 5100.76 apply.
DFARS 252.223.7007
This clause flows down, and does not provide relief in the adherence of local, state and federal regulations.
It is very evident that our nation’s armed forces takes great measure in protecting their arms, ammunition and explosives. Robertson KX will take the same thorough approach in helping you right your proposal, negotiating the deal and complying with federal requirements.
